Southern Exposure (SoEx) is a 51-year-old, artist-centered nonprofit supporting emerging and experimental artists in San Francisco’s Mission District and beyond. As SoEx enters a new chapter, it seeks a visionary, collaborative Executive Director to lead this beloved cultural institution into its future. The ED will advance SoEx’s mission, oversee an ~$850k budget, drive fundraising, and ensure organizational health while championing artistic freedom, equity, and community-centered practice. This role offers the opportunity to shape SoEx’s next era of exhibitions, public programs, and educational initiatives, and to nurture a vibrant community of artists and supporters. Ideal candidates bring nonprofit leadership experience, fundraising success, and a deep commitment to experimental art and inclusive culture.
