Instructions

CAM Institutional membership strengthens the California museum field. Institutional members include institutions and museums of all sizes. “Museum” is an entity that satisfies the Institute of Museum and Library Services definition of a museum to include "either a unit of State or local government or a private nonprofit organization that has tax-exempt status under the Internal Revenue Code." For purposes of membership, several sites or facilities under the control of a single entity may be deemed a single museum.

Institutional Lead

Lead Institutional membership includes complimentary member CAM eNews, use of the CAM member logo, an online museum legal toolkit, discounts on products and services offered by CAM Business Associates, access to CAM advocacy initiatives and California Museum Month, recognition on the CAM website and annual conference program, and the ability to serve on CAM committees. In addition to these benefits, Institutional Lead members receive complimentary Engage membership discounts for all staff, complimentary job postings, a 20% discount on CAM programs (including the Annual Conference), enhanced recognition on CAM’s website and the Annual Conference program.

Institutional Engage

Engage Institutional membership includes complimentary member CAM eNews, use of the CAM member logo, an online museum legal toolkit, discounts on products and services offered by CAM Business Associates, access to CAM advocacy initiatives and California Museum Month, recognition on the CAM website and annual conference program, and the ability to serve on CAM committees. In addition to these benefits, Institutional Engage members receive five complimentary Engage Individual memberships, a 25% discount on additional Engage Individual memberships for current staff, complimentary job postings, and a 15% discount on CAM programs (including the Annual Conference).

Institutional Connect $100 Annually

Connect Institutional membership includes complimentary member CAM eNews, use of the CAM member logo, an online museum legal toolkit, discounts on products and services offered by CAM Business Associates, access to CAM advocacy initiatives and California Museum Month, recognition on the CAM website and annual conference program, and the ability to serve on CAM committees. In addition to these benefits, Institutional Connect members receive one complimentary Engage Individual membership and discounted job postings.
