About
Elise Yvonne Morin-Rousseau established the atelier Art Conservation de Rigueur et Anoxia Abatement Solutions, now simply ACdR Art Conservation ~ SF in 1999.
Ms. Morin-Rousseau is the Director and Principal Conservator at this large San Francisco multi-disciplinary conservation center, where she and her staff provide professional expertise for comprehensive Emergency and Disaster Remediation and Recovery, Integrated Pest Management, Mold and Microbial Abatement in fine art collections in the public, institutional, and private sectors. The ACdR studios specialize in the treatment of Textiles, Paintings, Sculpture, Historic Objects, Decorative Arts, Books and Paper.
Ms. Morin-Rousseau has undergraduate academic studies in Biochemistry and Technical Art History, she has an M.S.c. in Conservation Sciences, an M.A. in Museum Studies Collections Care/Integrated pest Management, and post graduate credits focused in Mycology, Bioaerosols, Fungi, Bacteria, Mycotoxins in Indoor & Outdoor Environments and Human Health.
Ms. Morin-Rousseau spent many of her professional years volunteering on various Board of Directors and Committees, including the Costume Society of America, The Bay Area Art Conservation Guild, The Association of Registrars and Collections Specialist, and is an ongoing guest instructor at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, teaching conservation science and collections care in partnership with the William H. Hannon Library and Archives Special Collections.
ACdR Art Conservation is a large multi-disciplinary conservation studios in San Francisco, established in 1999. Specializing in the treatment, of fine arts, historic works, and disaster recovery.
